The Search Warrant Preparation Course is presented by Elite Performance Assessment Consultants, LLC (EPAC).
 

The Course

 

This course is designed to enhance the effectiveness of seasoned law enforcement investigators in performing advanced search warrant preparation, writing and presentation. The course is highly interactive and utilizes the adult learning model of instruction. Students will engage in practical application exercises, including the use of innovative search warrant writing software, developed by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (CA POST), to improve their skills and to improve legally sound search warrants faster and more efficiently.

The course is presented at selected locations. Personalized presentations are available for specific organizations and tuition is negotiable.

DAY ONE
Module 1: Introduction and Orientation
Module 2: Legal Concepts – Writing Warrants
Module 3: Legal Concepts – Investigations in the Digital Cloud

DAY TWO
Module 4: Introduction to the Search Warrant Writing Tool (SWWT)
Module 5: SWWT Exercise

DAY THREE
Module 6: Warrant Packages – Reviewing Warrants
Module 7: Course Evaluation and Critique
 

Course Instructors
 

All instructors are actively involved in all phases of public safety performance auditing. Cadre members are highly qualified instructors and are certified by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training. They are also certified auditors and fraud examiners by numerous professional organizations, attorneys, and scholars.

Tuition and Fees
